Office extension a vegetated roof

OK, so the idyllic weather in Mountain View, California has its advantages – which include team meetings or solitary "think space" on the cool, green rooftop of this spec office building. The furniture is moveable, so sunlight glare on laptops can be evaded but my guess is there's competition for a place in the sun during the West Coast "winter" months.

Kudos to developer Dan Minkoff and architect Rob Zirkle of Brick LLP for also adding a bocce court – it's the great equalizer for workplace games, given how almost anyone can play it while they discuss project development, balance sheets or just how cool their bike trip to Marin went.
